This is a very strange experience for me. I’ve been going to the gym twice a week for over 6 months now. More these last 2 weeks as I’ve got some strengthening to do for my knee.
Strange? Yup, I am not a gym person (although now, you could argue otherwise) but the more I go the more I see the appeal.
Do I want to get big and buff? No… stronger – yes but carrying extra weight will not help my running. That being said, I am physically changing.
I’ve always been “underweight” (according the nonsense that is BMI) but I am now… “normal”. I weight a little over 10 stone (heaviest I’ve ever been) but have dropped an inch off my waist.
The implements of torture today are Bozu, Kettle Bells and lots of core work. Alternating days also include Battle Ropes – true implements of pain.
Either way, it’s growning on me – literally and figuratively.
This is one hell of a life journey
